Oven Baked Chicken Wings
Here’s a great recipe for oven-baked chicken wings that are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.
Ingredients:
- 2 pounds chicken wings (use the entire wing but cut into parts)
- 2 tablespoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, mix together the baking powder, salt, garlic powder, paprika, black pepper, and any other spices you’d like to add.
- Place the chicken wings in a large bowl and pat them dry with paper towels.
- Sprinkle the seasoning mixture over the chicken wings, and toss to coat evenly.
- Drizzle the vegetable oil over the chicken wings, and toss again to coat.
- Place the chicken wings in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, making sure they are not touching.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the chicken wings are golden brown and crispy.
- If using a sauce on the wings, toss the sauce with cooked chicken wings until they are well coated.
- Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.
Classic Buffalo hot sauce
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup hot sauce (such as Frank’s RedHot)
- 1 tablespoon white vinegar
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Melt the butter in a small saucepan over low heat.
- Add the hot sauce, white vinegar, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to the saucepan, and whisk until well combined.
- Cook the sauce over low heat, stirring occasionally, for 5-10 minutes, or until it is heated through and well combined.
- Remove the sauce from heat, and let it cool slightly.
- Toss the sauce with cooked chicken wings until they are well coated.
- Serve the chicken wings immediately.
